Connect your email (Gmail, Outlook or any other)

Nukli does not give you a new address: it uses the one you already have. Here is how to plug it in.

In short

Open the mailboxes panel (top button of the icon bar), choose “Add account”, type your address and let Nukli detect the settings. With Gmail or Outlook it sends you to the provider’s own page to authorise it; with other providers it asks for a password.

Step by step

  1. Open the mailboxes

In the narrow icon bar on the left, the top button opens and closes the mailboxes column. That is where your accounts and folders live.

  2. Press “Add account”

At the bottom of the mailboxes column you will find the option to add a new one. You can also get there from Settings > Accounts.

  3. Type your address

Just the address, nothing else. Nukli looks up your provider’s servers on its own: you do not need to know what IMAP means.

If Nukli already suggests an address, it is because it saw one configured on this computer. It is only a suggestion.

  4. Authorise it or enter the password

With Gmail or Microsoft, the provider’s own page opens so that you sign in there: Nukli never sees your password. For other providers (iCloud, your own domain…) it asks for an app password.

  5. Wait for the first emails

Once the account is added you will see the folders on the left and emails will start filling the list, newest first.

Tips

Common questions

It asks for an IMAP server and I have no idea

Try the address alone first: Nukli almost always finds it. If not, open “Advanced” and enter what your provider gave you (usually imap.yourdomain.com and smtp.yourdomain.com).

It says the password is wrong and I am sure it is right

With iCloud and Gmail the normal password does not work: you need the app password. Generate it on your provider’s website and paste it here.

Not using Nukli yet?

Try it free: the same email you already have, with an assistant beside it.
