Quick actions: buttons of your own

If you ask the assistant the same thing every day, turn it into a button and stop typing it.

In short

In the quick actions bar you can create your own buttons holding the instruction you always repeat (“summarise this in three points”, “translate to English”). Once created, one click does the job on the open email.

Step by step

  1. Open quick actions

The lightning-bolt button in the open-email area. Any actions you already have show up there.

    1
Where it is, inside the window.
  2. Go into the settings and press “New”

The cog for settings is in the same dropdown.

  3. Give it a name and an icon

Something short you recognise instantly: “Summarise”, “To English”, “More formal”.

  4. Write the instruction

What you would say in the chat: “Summarise this email in three points and tell me what to answer”. You can insert variables such as the subject or the sender.

  5. Try it

Open any email and press the new button. If the instruction does not quite do what you want, go back and refine it.
